New Public Market Construction Begins Next Month
Construction of the new public market is set to commence, featuring modern facilities and improved sanitation systems for vendors and buyers.
The municipal government of Province of Batangas announced that construction of the new public market will officially begin next month. The project, funded through a combination of local funds and national government assistance, aims to provide a modern, clean, and well-organized marketplace for the community.
The new facility will feature proper ventilation systems, dedicated wet and dry sections, cold storage areas for perishable goods, and accessible restrooms. A designated parking area and loading zone will also be constructed to ease traffic congestion around the market area.
Existing vendors will be temporarily relocated to a designated area near the municipal gymnasium during the construction period, which is expected to take approximately 18 months. The municipal engineering office has assured vendors that the temporary site will have adequate facilities.
