WHEREAS CLAUSES

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan has been informed of the proposed mining operations in the adjacent municipality;

WHEREAS, after careful deliberation, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan finds that such action would adversely affect the LGU due to potential environmental impact on water resources shared with our municipality;

WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to protect the interests and welfare of its constituents;

RESOLVING CLAUSE

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in session assembled, to express its strong opposition to the proposed mining operations in the adjacent municipality.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Provincial Governor is hereby requested to communicate this opposition to all concerned national government agencies.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to concerned agencies and offices for their information and appropriate action.
